Man Utd captain Harry Maguire sets historic Euro record despite missing first two games

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire set an European Championship record as he helped England reach the final before the defeat to Italy.

Maguire missed England’s first two games as he recovered from an injury that saw him miss the final games of last season for Manchester United but was ever-present as the Three Lions defied expectations to reach the final, impressing at both ends of the pitch.

According to Opta, Maguire won 84% of his aerials duels at Euro 2020 (21/25), the best winning percentage since 1980 for any player involved in 25+ duels.
