Manchester United have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier.
Trippier’s links with Manchester United come as a surprise due to the number of fullback options at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s disposal.
Solskjaer is keen on Trippier due to the fact that he can play multiple positions, and will be a useful signing to act as cover for both fullback positions.
The right-back is very capable of playing on the left, and did so for England at Euro 2020 in their opening group game, and is seen as a useful backup to the excellent Luke Shaw.
Inter Milan and Roma are interested in signing Alex Telles from Manchester United but United are thought to be reluctant to let Telles leave, though that stance could change if they manage to secure a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier.
According to an exclusive report from the Sun, Trippier is in talks to buy a £3 million mansion from England team-mate Raheem Sterling.
The Sun reveal that Sterling bought the property, which features five acres of land and a wildlife pond, back in 2017. The five-bedroom home is situated in a ‘quiet Cheshire hamlet close to Knutsford and surrounded by farmland’, the newspaper reveals.
With the links getting stronger, and Trippier interested in the move, the 30-year-old could make a move to Old Trafford this summer.
