Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting key areas that need to be strengthened in the transfer market.
United have gone on to sign Jadon Sancho, and are now close to the signing of Raphael Varane. Sancho is a top winger, and United will benefit from his quality on the right flank. As for Varane, the centre-back position is another one Solskjaer has done well in his target, as Varane will prove to be an experienced partner for Harry Maguire.
Another position Solskjaer is targeting is the middle of the park. Manchester United are believed to be in search of a central midfielder, but would depend on the future of Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek at the club.
Meanwhile, transfer insider Dean Jones, claims Manchester United are interested in Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.
Jones, who spoke on The Done Deal Show, went on to claim that United’s pursuit of Neves is ‘genuine’ and that Portugal international Bruno Fernandes is ‘very keen’ on Neves potentially joining him at Old Trafford.
