Recent reports had claimed Manchester United are close to signing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane but fresh reports suggest the deal could be scrapped.
Varane has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United but the Red Devils are yet to agree a transfer fee with Real Madrid.
Real Madrid are demanding a £50million fee for the 28 year old defender but Manchester United chiefs are eager to get that price down.
According to a report on Daily Express, Real Madrid have warned Manchester United that Varane won’t leave unless for anything less than £50million.
Varane has told Madrid he wants to leave the club this summer, but the Spanish giants will reportedly refuse to sell if they don’t get their asking price.
