According to reports, new Manchester United defender Raphael Varane underwent a medical for Man United on Tuesday.
Varane was reportedly spotted in a vehicle near the club’s training base at Carrington on Tuesday, with reports confirming that a deal was in place.
Fabrizio Romano had reported that the centre-back has already returned a negative Covid-19 test and his quarantine is over.
Varane landed in Manchester last week but had to quarantine for five days before being able to complete his deal to Manchester United.
If all goes according to plan, Varane is expected to sign a four year contract with Manchester United on Wednesday morning, with the announcement due in the afternoon.
There are now renewed hopes that the France international will be part of the squad to face Leeds on Saturday.
