Manchester United ran the show in Saturday’s clash against Leeds United.

United put doubters to rest with an opening day 5-1 win over Leeds United, and the performance was incredible.

Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes ran the show against Leeds, with Pogba getting four assists and Bruno Fernandes scoring a hat-trick.

However, Liverpool legend Graeme Souness revealed that his man of the match was United youngster Mason Greenwood.

Asked how many Premier League title challengers there will be this season, Souness told Sky Sports: “Four, I think we have to include United in that.

“Looking at them yesterday they looked threatening, positive, they’ve got a bit of momentum, the crowd seemed to be with them, they’ve signed good players.

“For me yesterday the star of the show was Greenwood. For a young boy, I thought he was sensational.’

When he was reminded by Micah Richards that Pogba provided four assists, Souness replied: “We expect that from a £100m man.

“I was going to get around to the point that they spent £70m on Sancho, maybe that might be something they look back on and think, ‘do we need to spend that money?’.

“Because that boy [Greenwood] is a player, he’s a finisher, I think he’s going to be a top player.

“You’ve got to include Chelsea, obviously Manchester City and my old team [Liverpool], I think it will be nip and tuck.”
