New Manchester United signing Jadon Sancho won’t start Sunday’s Premier League game against Southampton.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly made the decision to start Daniel James ahead of Sancho against Southampton.
According to The Athletic via Metro, Solskjaer intends to be patient with Sancho and will put him on the bench once again for the trip to St Mary’s.
Despite playing an hour in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Burnley in midweek, Solskjaer reportedly feels Sancho needs to get fitter and sharper.
Sancho arrived at Old Trafford a little rustier than England teammates Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw after only playing 96 minutes at the Euros.
Solskjaer believes Daniel James should start ahead of Sancho against Southampton because he is fully fit and raring to go.
