Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland could be a Manchester United player as early as January 2022.
Haaland has a £64million release clause in his Borussia Dortmund contract which was thought to become active next summer but according to Spanish media outlet Marca via Daily Mail, his release clause will become active in January 2022.
The 21 year old striker is a key transfer target for Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after scoring an astonishing 62 goals in 63 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund.
Haaland is one of the hottest properties in Europe with Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona also interested in signing the striker.
34 year old Edinson Cavani is currently Manchester United’s first-choice striker and Solskjaer wants to replace the Uruguayan striker with Haaland.
