Solskjaer stopped Van de Beek from joining Premier League club on transfer deadline day

According to reports, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer blocked Donny van de Beek from leaving Manchester United on transfer deadline day.

Premier League side Everton made a late attempt to sign Van de Beek on transfer deadline day but Solskjaer blocked a transfer.

Van de Beek joined Manchester United from Ajax last summer for £35million but has struggled to play regularly.

The 24-year-old midfielder has been assured he will get more chances at Old Trafford this season but there is still a degree of pessimism after United strengthened the squad once again during the window.

Everton submitted a loan offer for Van de Beek with the midfielder keen on playing regularly but Manchester United declined Everton’s offer.
