Manchester United play host to Newcastle this weekend, and the major talking point ahead of the game is the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is set to make his second Manchester United debut, and United are massive favourites against the Magpies.

However, Newcastle United star Allan Saint-Maximin has urged his teammates not to get carried away with talks about Ronaldo and focus on the game.

Allan Saint-Maximin has hailed the quality of the Manchester United squad but believes that United can be beaten.

“To be honest, even before Ronaldo signed, they had a great team. So for sure, with Cristiano Ronaldo now, they can look much better,” Saint-Maximin told NUFC TV.

“But we have to stay focused because if we just think about Ronaldo we’re going to lose the game, for sure.

“We just have to stay focused and to feel like it’s just football and if you give your best and give everything, everything can happen so we have to do it.

“The Premier League is really tough. I saw their game against Wolves and Wolves had a lot of chances to win the match.

“Even though it’s Manchester United, they are not invincible. We have to keep going and try to do the best things we can do to win this game.

“If we cannot win then we lose and that’s the mentality we need to have.”
