Edinson Cavani pays tribute to Man Utd legend: “I would have liked to share the pitch with him”

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has paid tribute to Manchester United legend Eric Cantona.

The former France international spent five seasons at Old Trafford, scoring 82 goals in 185 games and helping Sir Alex Ferguson’s side win four Premier League titles and two FA Cups.

Cavani told MUTV: “I reckon that Cantona would be a player with whom I would have liked to share the pitch here!

“That is because of his character and for the way he lived out his football. And as I said, for his personality out there on the pitch.”
