Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has warned Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his Manchester United teammates that there are no excuses for the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa.
Speaking to the media after the 1-0 loss to Aston Villa at Old Trafford, David De Gea explained: “It’s a very disappointing day for us.
“I think there’s no excuses today. We play at home, with confidence. If we want to win big trophies like the Premier League, [we need to win] these types of games.
“Yeah, I tried to make saves, always help the team. Big saves but at the end we concede from a set-piece and I saw the replay again and probably it’s offside.
“He [Watkins] was very close to me. Again, that happens. I don’t know, it’s a disappointing result and a hard one to take. Now we have to be ready for the next one.”
