Spanish giants Barcelona are planning a January move for Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani, according to Daily Star via TribalFootball.

Despite the doubts surrounding the future of Ronald Koeman as Barcelona boss, the Barcelona board are said to be putting plans in place for the winter window to try and improve the team’s fortunes.

Barcelona trail La Liga leaders and Clasico rivals Real Madrid by seven points, albeit having played one match less.

Barcelona have identified Cavani as a key target for the club ahead of the January transfer window and believe they can sign the Uruguayan international who is believed to be unsettled following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
