Manchester United player wants to leave in January as he’s unhappy with life under Solskjaer

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is reportedly considering his future at Old Trafford.

According to Manchester Evening News, Mata wants to leave in January due to a lack of playing time this season.

The 33 year old Spanish midfielder started United’s Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham last week but is yet to feature in the Premier League and was left out of the squad to face Aston Villa on Saturday.

Mata’s contract expires at the end of the season but the midfielder wants to leave Manchester United in January before his deal expires. He’s unhappy with life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer due to a lack of game time.

Mata, who turns 34 in April, has been with United since 2014 and has made 274 appearances for the club.

Mata has won four trophies during his time at United – the FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield and Europa League.
