Anthony Martial’s wife denies Solskjaer’s claims about Martial

Manchester United star Anthony Martial’s wife has denied the injury claim made by United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer regarding her husband’s unavailability for the game against Tottenham.

The Frenchman has not been involved for the club since his last appearance in our 1-1 draw with Everton on October 2.

However, Solskjaer revealed that the 25-year-old was now in contention to feature following his spell on the sideline.

But Martial’s wife, Melanie has dismissed his injury claim and also stated that the French forward has been fit and available for selection.

When asked by a fan on Instagram if her husband was injured, Melanie replied: “Anthony has never been injured. He only had food poisoning two weeks ago.”

In a separate post on Instagram, Melanie also showed a short clip of Martial cycling alongside the caption: ‘Never give up’.

Meanwhile, the player played no part in our 3-0 win over Spurs on Saturday.
