Manchester United legend Gary Neville blasted United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision to play with a back five in our game over Tottenham.

The Norwegian choose to play Raphael Varane alongside Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire to form a three-man defence.

Speaking ahead of the game, Gary Neville criticised Solskjaer’s tactical approach.

“It is a little bit last throw of the dice, they’ve been absolutely disgraceful defensively over the last of couple weeks,” said the former United defender.

“This is one of the most defensive Man Utd teams I think I’ve ever seen.”

“It’s a poor reflection on the more talented players in the squad that he can’t trust them to do work without the ball.”

At the end, Neville was made to eat his words as the Norwegian’s tactical plan worked and saw the team win 3-0 against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
