Antonio Conte set to accept this Premier League job. It’s not Manchester United
According to respected Italian website Di Marzio, Antonio Conte is ready to accept the Tottenham job after initially being put off in the summer.
Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly sack Nuno Santo this week and want to replace the Portuguese manager with former Chelsea boss Conte.
Manchester United have also considered replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Conte in recent weeks but it seems its Tottenham Hotspur that will get the Italian tactician.
However, Conte is thought to want Spurs to invest financially if he does come in, as well as having a clear project.
Conte, 52, has won four Italian titles with Juventus and Inter Milan. He won the Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea. He is known for being high energy and demanding of his players.
Tottenham Hotspur director of football Fabio Paratici is reportedly keen to ensure Conte is the man to replace Santo. The Italian is desperate to see the ex-Chelsea and Inter man appointed, and Daniel Levy is thought to be onboard too.
