Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suffered an injury blow ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game against Atalanta.
Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof, who was part of the back three that started the 3-0 win at Tottenham on Saturday, has not travelled to Italy after picking up a knock in training on Monday.
The injury to the 27 year old Sweden international could force Solskjaer to dump the 5-3-2 formation he used against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday though Eric Bailly is a like-for-like replacement.
It’s unclear how long Lindelof will be out for or what system Solskjaer will deploy against Atalanta on Tuesday, with only three recognised centre-backs available.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba is available for the game against Atalanta as three-match ban following his dismissal in the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool only applies to domestic competitions.
