Michael Owen doesn’t think Manchester United will beat Atalanta
Manchester United came from behind to beat Atalanta 3-2 at Old Trafford a fortnight ago.
Atalanta were 2-0 up in the reverse fixture but eventually lost the game 3-2 courtesy of goals from Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Michael Owen has given his prediction for the Champions League fixtures, and he didn’t back Manchester United to beat Atalanta on their home soil.
He told BetVictor: “That was a huge, potentially season-saving win for United on Saturday. I thought the change of shape worked really well and the strike duo of Cavani and Ronaldo caused lots of problems. This will be a tough game for them though and a point would be an excellent result. I’m going for 1-1.”
Manchester United currently top the group with 6 points after 3 round of matches. Villarreal are 2nd while Atalanta are 3rd, but both sides share the same number of points.
