Pogba told to thank Man Utd player for helping him avoid being substituted at halftime against Atalanta
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has claimed United midfielder Paul Pogba has teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to thank for helping him avoid being substituted at halftime in our game against Atalanta.
“Probably not great again. A little bit sloppy at times I think, you’ll see from their goal,” Scholes said on BT Sport at half-time.
“I think [Eric] Bailly gets caught, obviously the keeper could do a lot better.
“There’s been a lot of mistakes in that half. I don’t think Paul Pogba will be particularly enthralled with his performance.
“[He’s] given the ball away a lot really. That goal’s probably made him survive the second half.”
Former England international Eni Aluko was also in agreement, commenting: “I agree with Paul, it has been sloppy.
“That goal [Ronaldo’s] is an indication of what Manchester United can do but it has been sloppy, particularly Pogba.
“He’s given away another chance that could have led to a goal as well.”
Ole probably not giving us hope and officials have problem of leaving conte to go
