Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed new Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte as a winning manager.
Conte was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United as Solskjaer fought to save his job at Old Trafford following the embarrassing 5-0 defeat to arch-rivals Liverpool.
But United resisted the temptation to sack Solskjaer and Conte joined Tottenham Hotspur after they sacked Nuno Espirito Santo after just four months in charge.
When asked about Conte’s appointment as Tottenham boss, Solskjaer said: “He will bring a lot to Tottenham.
“Antonio Conte has already shown that he is a winning coach. The last time I met him was in England during a dinner with [Sir Alex] Ferguson.”
