Manchester United have confirmed that Raphael Varane is out for a couple of weeks, after sustaining an injury on Tuesday.
The Frenchman had to limp off the field during the 2-2 draw against Atalanta— a game that we nearly lost, but the seriousness of the issue couldn’t be ascertained at the time.
The club has now issued an official statement, confirming the extent on the injury, and adding that he’s expected to be away for up to a month.
“The club confirms that Raphael sustained a hamstring injury, which is expected to keep him out of action for around a month,” the statement read.
The development comes after Varane recently returned from injury to star in the 3-0 win over Tottenham.
