Ronaldo or Messi? Who have scored more Champions League injury-time goals
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a later equaliser in Manchester United’s 2-2 Champions League draw against Atalanta on Tuesday night.
Atalanta took the lead twice in the match but on both occasions, Ronaldo restored parity for the Red Devils.
But when it comes to scoring late goals in the Champions League on the 90th minute or after, who has more goals between Ronaldo and his rival Lionel Messi?
According to Goal, Ronaldo has scored more late goals than Messi in the Champions League.
While Messi has managed to score late goals in only six matches in the Champions League, Ronaldo has scored on or after 90 minutes in the Champions League on 13 occasions.
Ronaldo has also scored three match-winning goals in the Champions League after the 90th minute. He has scored match-winning goals against Villarreal, Sporting Lisbon (2007/08) and Manchester City (2012/13).
Messi has only scored one match winning goal in the Champions League after the 90th minute, against Shakhtar Donetsk (2008/09).
