Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has urged Manchester United to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if the Red Devils want to compete with Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday means the Red Devils have now lost four of our last six Premier League fixtures to slip nine points behind leaders Chelsea.
Speaking on BBC’s Match of the Day, Murphy said: “If they want to compete with the big boys now – Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea – they need to change the manager.”
Meanwhile, Solskjaer has admitted he’s disappointed with the defeat to Manchester City.
“It’s very disappointing. Last week, it felt like we made a step forward, this is a big step backwards,” Solskjaer said.
