Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has dismissed claims made by Manchester United captain Harry Maguire’s comment on the team’s lack of belief.

The Red Devils defender claimed the team lacked belief’ after our dreadful 2-0 defeat against Manchester City at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian appeared shocked to hear the comment as told to him by a reporter, and asked: “Have they said they lacked belief?”

The Norwegian then composed himself and added: “It’s a big thing, we’re human beings.

“That’s our job now – my job – to work on, to make sure we go into the next game with the right mentality, a winners mentality and a positive mentality.

“Of course, when you play, you might lose belief when you can’t get to the ball.

“We couldn’t make the transitions that we’re so good at.”

Meanwhile, the defeat against City sees more pressure mount on Solskjaer as calls for his calls get even louder.

Currently, Manchester United are nine points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.
