Report: Paul Pogba makes Cristiano Ronaldo demand as condition for contract extension

Paul Pogba has reportedly made his condition for signing a contract extension with Manchester United known, and it’s huge.

According to French news outlet, L’Equipe, the midfielder is asking that he be made the highest paid footballer at the club, before he puts pen to paper on a new deal.

Cristiano Ronaldo is presently the highest paid player at Old Trafford, following his summer move, which sees him earning £480k a week.

It is also reported that United are unwilling to approve Pogba’s request, and are already braced up for his possible departure. A search for a replacement is ongoing, according to the outlet.

Pogba’s current deal is out by June 2022, and he’s free to talk to interested clubs from January. But he recently sustained a thigh injury, which is expected to keep him on the sidelines until next year.
