“He’s better than Solskjaer but not what Man Utd need” – Fans tell Man Utd not to appoint manager as Man Utd boss
Manchester United fans have reacted to reports linking Manchester United with Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers.
The Red Devils reportedly want the Leicester City manager to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United boss following our poor start to the season.
However, Manchester United fans aren’t pleased the club is considering Rodgers as they believe the former Liverpool boss isn’t good enough to become Manchester United boss.
@UtdFaithfuls tweeted: “Brendan Rodgers is better than Solskjaer but definitely NOT what Manchester United need. We need an elite, tactically sound manager who can win us the PL/UCL. Not a different side of the same coin.”
HappySisyphus22 wrote on Reddit: “If Rodgers is appointed as the next manager, can see Leicester going for Potter and City appointing Ten Hag. We will come out as the losers again out of this”.
@UnitedAvenger tweeted: “It would be very Manchester United to go hire Brendan Rodgers and pay his compensation, cause I can tell you now that desperation will be upon us. I really hope I am wrong and they decide to go with an interim and get who they want at the end of the season.”
mu_37 wrote on Reddit: “Passing on Conte for Rodgers is a really good sum-up of the post SAF era eh.”
@unitedcIoud tweeted: “Is Brendan Rodgers a good manager? Yes. Is he what United need? Absolutely not. Solskjaer himself was the man to put the final nail in his top-4 bottle 2 years ago. He bottled it again the year after, not to mention the title with Liverpool! We need a serial winner.”
Do you think Rodgers isn’t good enough for Manchester United?
