Manchester United star Scott McTominay sent home from Scotland training
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been sent home from Scotland’s training camp in Spain after being diagnosed with a throat virus.
The 24-year-old is expected to miss Scotland’s game against Moldova, but could possibly return for Monday’s home tie with Denmark.
“It’s disappointing to lose the player for this game, but it’s a good chance for someone else to play in the team,” said Scotland head coach Steve Clarke.
“We have good cover at centre back and in midfield.”
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping the issue isn’t so serious as the United academy graduate has been a mainstay in the United midfield and starting XI this season.
