Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has identified Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot as a January transfer target for Roma, according to Sky Italia via Metro.
Mourinho signed Dalot for the Red Devils in 2018 but the right-back has never been able to hold down a regular place in the starting XI, making just 13 Premier League starts for the club.
The 22 year old has been limited to just three substitute appearances in the Premier League this season and Mourinho believes Dalot can improve his Roma team defensively.
Mourinho has told his employers that new signings will be needed in January if Roma are to qualify for the Champions League this season.
With Dalot behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans, he’s expected to push for a reunion with Mourinho in January in order to get regular football.
