Report: Glazers narrow United managerial shortlist to two names
The owners of Manchester United, the Glazers, have reportedly narrowed down the list of candidates to fill in the managerial seat at the club to just two names, according to Duncan Castles of the Transfer Window Podcast.
United have been linked with names like Zinedine Zidane and Antonio Conte in the past, but Castles says the Italian was never really an option for the Red Devils.
Brendan Rodgers and Mauricio Pochettino are currently favorites for the job, even though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still very much around, and is expected to take charge of the game against Watford.
Pochettino is currently working as Paris Saint-Germain manager, but it is believed that the Argentine will jump on any opportunity to return to a top Premier League side.
Meanwhile, Rodgers also has a clause in his contract at Leicester City, which allows him to leave if a UEFA Champions League club comes knocking.
