Solskjaer gives Man Utd the greenlight to sell Man Utd player in January
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given the club the greenlight to sell Jesse Lingard in January, according to The Sun via Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old has struggled for game-time this season after returning from an impressive loan spell at West Ham last season.
Manchester United are reportedly willing to sell Lingard for £10million in January just months after rejecting West Ham’s offer to sign the England international for £18million.
Lingard reignited his career at the London Stadium last season, after becoming a peripheral figure at Old Trafford beforehand.
He returned to United on the back of a spell in which he scored nine goals in 16 appearances and helped the Hammers achieve European qualification.
Solskjaer’s decision to keep Lingard despite having just one year left on his contract has surprised many fans as Lingard hasn’t started any Premier League game for Manchester United this season.
