‘The boy can play’ — Arsenal urged to sign Manchester United player that’s being frustrated by Solskjaer
Former Arsenal striker, Kevin Campbell, has urged Mikel Arteta to sign Manchester United reject, Donny van de Beek.
Van de Beek has struggled for form since swapping Ajax for the Red Devils in 2020, with just four Premier League starts and one goal to his name between then and now.
The Dutchman is believed to be keen to move away to another club in January, especially with the World Cup approaching, as he aims to increase his chances of playing for his country, having missed the last two international call-ups. And Campbell believes he would be an ideal signing for Arsenal, given his talent.
Speaking to The Highbury Squad recently, he noted, “I only want what’s best for Arsenal and I believe Donny van de Beek can play, if given the opportunity.
“The boy can play. He wants out. I think this young man has super ability.
“He can play anywhere around the midfield – holding, at eight, and he can play attacking. We’ve got another one who is versatile – a plug-and-play player for us.”
