‘You can leave in January but on one condition’ — Manchester United tell important player, report claims
Manchester United have reportedly told want-away goalkeeper, Dean Henderson he can leave the club this January, but on one major condition.
The shotstoppper has struggled to play regularly this term, after being massively involved last season.
After impressing while on loan with Sheffield United two seasons ago, Henderson returned to Old Trafford with the intention displacing number one choice, David De Gea.
The plan seemed successful last season, as they shared goalkeeping duties betweeen them, but with the Spaniard finding form again this season, it’s been difficult for Henderson.
The 24 year old has not only seen game time diminish at Man United, he has also fallen behind in the pecking order in the England national team.
Desperate to solve the problem, Henderson wants to leave, and United will allow him to, given he agrees to an 18 month loan spell, according to The Sun.
United still see the Englishman as the ideal replacement for De Gea, and believe a loan spell would be best for both sides.
Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund are believed to be keen on signing Henderson, although nothing is concrete as of now.
