Roma chief responds to speculation linking his side with Manchester United star Diogo Dalot

Roma director Tiago Pinto has remained coy on speculation linking his club with a move for Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot in the January transfer window.
The United fullback is said to have caught the eye of Roma boss Jose Mourinho. It was the Portuguese tactician that signed the player for the Red Devils, and now he would love to sign him for Roma.
When asked about a potential move for Dalot, he told Sky Italia: “I don’t like talking about players from other clubs, I don’t like talking publicly about transfer strategies.
“On the market, we cannot create great expectations for January because we all know what the January market is like.”
Meanwhile, Dalot has ruled out leaving Old Trafford.
“That is why I knew last season was massive for me. My body was feeling those changes and when I went to Milan it was perfect to balance everything and return to this season. That is why I wanted to stay here, fight for games and be an important player for the team,” Dalot told The Telegraph .
“I wanted to stay here and the club trusted me to stay here. My mind was completely focused on having an important role in this team.
“The most beautiful and healthy competition is when there are two or three for each position and you can learn from each other. I’m sure Aaron learns some things from me when I play, I learn from him. Everyone is going to be a part of it this season.”
