Finance expert Maguire reveals shocking Manchester United wage update

Manchester United is in a good place financially, after the club’s recent revelation that their revenue is on the up, and their debt is less than it used to be— but something else is causing concern to some fans.

According to football finance expert, Kieran Maguire, United’s wage bill has increased by 23%, and now stands at £354 million annually, which is an all time high.

Maguire also calculated the average weekly wage of a Man United player, and it now stands at £164,000 a week— the highest we have ever had.

The increase is mostly due to the summer arrivals of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho. The three players are currently the number one, three and fourth on the wage list at Old Trafford.

Sadly, these players haven’t made that much difference to the team, even with Ronaldo’s goals, as United remain nine points behind league leaders, Chelsea.
