Real Madrid targeting Manchester United midfielder as permanent replacement for Luka Modric, strange reports claim
Real Madrid are reportedly considering a January move for Manchester United outcast, Donny van de Beek.
According to Spanish outlet, Fichajes, Madrid want to use the Dutchman as a permanent replacement for 36 year old Luka Modric.
Earliet this year, Modric signed an extension with Madrid until June next year, but with the deal now nearing it’s expiration, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are in search of a player in his mould.
Madrid are also hopeful of getting Van de Beek for far less than the £40 million United paid for him in 2020.
Van de Beek has failed to nail a regular starting spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, with the Norwegian preferring to play Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and Fred ahead of the Netherlands man.
In his one year at the club, Van de Beek has only made four appearances for United in the Premier League.
