Manchester United managerial target Zinedine Zidane has reportedly rejected an offer to replace Barcelona manager Xavi at Qatari club Al Sadd in favour of managing at Old Trafford.
The Qatari club are said to be looking for a high-profile replacement for the Barcelona legend and identified Zizou as a possible target.
Report from Mundo Deportivo has revealed the Frenchman turned down their offer to return to club management and still has his eye on the France national team job should it become available.
Meanwhile, according to The Sunday Times, the United board are making plans to name Zidane as Solskjaer’s successor.
It was reported recently that the Frenchman has changed his stance and is now willing to accept the United job offer. It remains to be seen if he will eventually join the club.
