Roy Keane slammed for his criticism of Manchester United player
Manchester United legend Roy Keane has been slammed and tagged ‘too scared’ because he spends so much time criticising Harry Maguire, while he ignores his former teammate, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
This is coming from talkSPORT radio football presenter, Adrian Durham, who spoke after Keane’s criticism of Maguire’s goal celebration in England’s 5-0 win over Albania days ago.
Adrian said, “Roy Keane, why do you think he is going on about Harry Maguire? Because he is too scared to call out his mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. It’s pathetic.
“It’s not constructive, it’s not technical, it’s not even football. It is ridiculous what Keane is doing, it is tantamount to bullying and I don’t think it is helpful or constructive to an individual like Maguire, who has got a lot to deal with.
“He has a lot to deal with as Manchester United captain, so calling him out for celebrating a goal… there’s lots of things you can criticise him for. Lots of other Man United players aren’t playing well for United at the moment.
“Don’t criticise them for scoring a goal and celebrating, it is pathetic. This is Roy Keane, by the way, who abandoned his teammates at a World Cup and what did they do? They celebrated. He needs to just focus on other things.”
