Shocking stat shows Manchester United have now conceded as many goals as Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool combined
It’s embarrassing moments for Manchester United as United have been losing games for fun in recent weeks.
After recent heavy defeats against Liverpool, Leicester City and Manchester City, United shipped in four goals against a relegation-threatened Watford side, in what was our second defeat in our last two league games.
A shocking stat has now revealed how shambolic Manchester United’s defensive woes have been.
United have conceded the same number of goals as the top three teams, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool combined.
United have shipped in 21 goals in 12 games this season, while Chelsea have only conceded 4 goals. Liverpool have conceded 11 goals and Manchester City have conceded 6 goals prior to their weekend games.
It just shows how awful United have been defensively and after the game, a disappointed David De Gea couldn’t hold back his pain, as he called for more unity in the team.
He said, “It was embarrassing to be honest, to see Manchester United play like we did today. I think it’s not acceptable.
“The way we were playing, it’s easy to blame the manager, the staff. But sometimes it’s the players. We play for Manchester United, we need to do better.
“It was an embarrassing first half. We could’ve conceded four goals, we cannot play like today. It’s a nightmare again, for a long time and it’s not acceptable.
“Players are trying to give our best but for sure something is very wrong, you can see in the games. It’s very low level, very poor. Sorry to the fans.”
