Man Utd appoint manager for Champions League game against Villarreal after sacking Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been sacked as Manchester United boss following Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to Watford.

The club made the decision to sack the Norwegian tactician after 5 defeats in our last 7 Premier League games.

The club have also announced former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick will now take charge of the team for forthcoming games, while the club looks to appoint an interim manager to the end of the season.

Manchester United face Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday night before travelling to Stamford Bridge on Sunday to face Chelsea.
