Man Utd considering hiring former Real Madrid boss as successor to Solskjaer. It’s not Zidane
Manchester United are reportedly considering hiring Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui as successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer was dismissed by the United board on Sunday morning following our embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Watford.
The likes of former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag and Leceister City boss Brendan Rodgers have all been touted as potential replacements for the Norwegian but according to The Athletic, Manchester United are now considering hiring Lopetegui.
The Sevilla boss has revived his career after his disappointing spell in charge at Real Madrid that lasted just three months. The 54-year-old has won the Europa League and secured back-to-back fourth place finishes for the Los Rojiblancos.
