Watford boss reveals why he was confident of beating Manchester United
Watford boss Claudio Ranieri has revealed he was confident before his side’s 4-1 victory over Manchester United because his players are good players.
Goals from Joshua King, Ismalia Sarr, Joan Pedro and Emmanuel Dennis secured all there points for the Hornets despite a goal from United midfielder Donny Van de Beek which was nothing but a consolation.
On Watford’s impressive display, the Italian said: “I was confident before the match. My players are good players, but of course they must understand the Premier League.
“It was a fantastic performance. The first half was amazing, we pressed higher and then the second half we conceded some chances. But we continued to press, to play and score more goals and at the end we won the match.
“We are very, very satisfied for the performance, for the result, for the three points.”
