According to reports, Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is shocked by the drop in standards at Manchester United, after his return to Old Trafford.
The forward returned to United during the summer, after spending years away at Real Madrid and Juventus, where he won numerous trophies and accolades.
However, according to Telegraph, the Portugal International feels that there’s no hunger and desire within the current group of players at the club, compared to what he left in 2009.
Since his return to Old Trafford, Ronaldo has scored nine goals for Man United, and helped United avoid defeat on numerous occasions. However, his goals and efforts haven’t stopped the team from struggling.
The Red Devils are currently seventh in the Premier League, having failed to win any or our last two games. United are also at risk of failing to qualify for the next stage of the UEFA Championship League, unless we avoid defeat against Villareal this week.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked on Sunday morning, after a horrific 4-1 loss to struggling Premier League side, Watford.
Michael Carrick is in charge for now, and is expected to get some results against Villareal and Chelsea, who we face in the league next.
