Revealed: Why Solskjaer granted an interview with club immediately after his sack
Following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sack at Manchester United, many have wondered why the Norwegian decided to grant an interview instead of moving on, like most do.
The Norwegian had a chat with MUTV after he was axed from his role, revealing how he felt about leaving, and what the future holds for him.
Solskjaer was relieved of his job, after a humbling 4-1 loss to Watford on Saturday, which leaves United 7th on the league table.
Solskjaer’s decision to talk to club media after his sack is reportedly something he decided to do, and not forced by anyone.
The former Molde boss had said during the interview, “I wanted us to take the next step to challenge for the league, to win trophies and I only think it’s right that it comes from the horse’s mouth. I don’t want to answer all… there’s going to be journalists asking me about interviews but no, I’m not going to do any interviews.
“I want to get it out there, I’m going to leave by the front door, because I think everyone knows I’ve given everything for this club.”
