Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hinted he’s happy to see Manchester United sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after admitting Solskjaer beat his Manchester City team more than he wanted.
When asked about his thoughts on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure from Man United, Pep Guardiola said: “I wish him all the best.
“It was a pleasure to face him – he beat me more than I wanted but he knows, like I know, that when you are in charge of a team like United, City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, you have to win.
“I am still sitting here because I won. Otherwise, it would be another person sitting here. Hopefully one day we can see each other again.”
Solskjaer had a decent record against Guardiola, winning 4 out of 9 games against his Man City side during his time at United. This included a stunning league double over the Citizens in the 2019/20 season.
