‘He could play as a midfielder, an attacker and did great things’ — Diego Forlan names Man United legend as one of the best ever

Former Manchester United star, Diego Forlan has named the legendary Paul Scholes as one of the best players he ever played with.
Forlan had a decent and fruitful run with Man United, following his move from Independiente in 2002.
After nearly 100 games, the Uruguayan scored a total of 17 goals for Manchester United, winning a Premier League title, an FA Cup and a Community Shield.
He then went on to play for other big clubs like Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Villarreal, where he worked with some of the best players in the business. But despite this, Forlan has maximum respect for Scholes.
Speaking recently to Playbook, the 42 year old listed Scholes as one of the best ever.
He said, “One of the greatest players I played with is Paul Scholes. A great player.
“He could play as a midfielder, also as an attacker, different roles, and he was always doing great things.
“I had the opportunity to play with him and he was definitely a great player.”
