Chelsea star sends warning to teammates ahead of Sunday’s clash with Man United
Chelsea midfielder, Mason Mount, has warned his teammates to expect a tough game when they play against Manchester United on Sunday evening.
Chelsea are 12 points ahead of Man United on the table, with 29 points, while the Red Devils have 17.
Chelsea go into the clash off the back of some brilliant football, with their last game against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League ending 4-0 in their favour.
But despite the gap in performance levels between both sides, Mount reckons it’s always tough to play Man United.
He told Sky Sports, “We have recently gone through that period where we have changed managers and it can go one way where players improve as they want to impress the new manager.
“And if that happens we have to be ready for that, and we will be but I think it’s a tough one to read and go into, you see the [2-0] win over Villarreal [on Tuesday], they played very well.
“We have to ready for everything and be prepared for a very tough game, it’s Manchester United, the players they’ve got, individually they can produce on the day.”
