Eric Bailly gives verdict on Chelsea team
Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has said it would be good for the energy of the team if Manchester United can manage a win against Chelsea on Sunday.
The Red Devils take a trip to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, in hopes of turning their Premier League form around for the better.
United will go into the tie without Harry Maguire, who got a suspension during our last game against Watford, but Bailly remains positive about the team’s chances.
Speaking ahead of the clash, the Ivorian noted, “I remember when we won 2-0 [over Chelsea] I think [in February 2020].
“It was a good moment I think, it was very important to win the game and yeah I’m ready for another challenge against Chelsea.
“I hope the team work very hard and obviously we won against Villarreal. They are a good team and it’s a good vibe for the team.”
He added, “You know, we lost important games but that is the past.
“Now for me, it’s very important to focus on the future. The future is Sunday and we had a good week, Tuesday against Villarreal, we have a good game.
“Sunday, we have to keep thinking in the future and give back this good feeling and good vibe for the fans. Win the game and take points: it’s very important.”
United are currently 12 points behind Chelsea on the league table.
