“I don’t know if Man Utd ever created a chance or half chance to even score… We gave them a goal today”

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has aimed a subtle dig at Manchester United for our defensive game plan in Sunday 1-1 draw against his side at Stamford Bridge.

A Jadon Sancho goal midway through the game gave us the lead after he capitalized an error by Blues midfielder Jorginho, but the Italian later made amends by scoring from the penalty spot as both sides had to settle for a draw. 

The Blues boss in his post-match interview was asked to assess Manchester United’s performance and he had this to say:

“I don’t know if they ever created a chance or half chance to even score… We gave them a goal today.

“Unfortunately we scored two goals, one for each side.”

The Red Devils were able to bag a valuable point away from home and defended very well to deny the Blues a winning goal towards the end.
