Rangnick to get special reward if he achieves this for Man United
Ralf Rangnick is Manchester United’s new interim manager, after signing a six-month deal, that will keep him at Old Trafford until the end ofthe season. The German is then expected to assume a consultancy role, which will involve making transfer decisions for United.
According to German publication SportBILD, Rangnick has been tasked with securing the signature of highly sought-after striker, Erling Haaland.
Haaland has been in sensational form since joining Borussia Dortmund, scoring 71 goals in 70 matches. This season alone, the 21 year old has scored 14 times in 11 games, and with his £63 million release clause set to come into effect next summer, many clubs will no doubt be running after him.
However, the Man United board believe Rangnick can use his good relationship with the player and his family to lure him to Man United next simmer. The report adds that Man United is willing to pay Rangnick an additional £8.5 million if he can pull it off.
Man United are also said to be considering signing RB Leipzig pair, Amadou Haidara and Christopher Nkunku next year.
Meanwhile, the approval process for a work permit has now been granted Ralf Rangnick, and the German will attend the match against Arsenal at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
Caretaker boss Michael Carrick will be in charge of the team for the final time in tonight’s game against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
